35 Actions. Borders edges and vignettes are a great way to add style to your images. Borders increase the canvas size of the image by adding a black or white border to the image. Edges alter 2% to 3% of the inside edge of the image and may also add a border in the process Vignettes are applied to the inside area of the image to blur, darken or lighten the image keeping interest on the subject. Edge effects work best on images with a 6MB file size or larger. Some of the artsy edges will look different on each image because they are based on random patterns generated by Photoshop. You can create new edge effects my changing the blending mode of the edge effect layer.
