Over 40 actions for making basic adjustments to an image. We’ve named our actions based on the function they perform so it’s easier for you to remember them and work with them. Each Uber Adjustment action comes with a free layer mask and the brush set to the correct color for masking.

- Blue Boost – adds punch and saturation to blues – good for making skies a deeper blue or enhancing blue anywhere in an image
- Blue Out – great for removing a blue cast in the image, works really well on blue cast in shadows,
- Brighten High – moderately lightens the image and tries to protect the highlights by adding a layer mask, can be used to add a soft open look to an image
- Color Boost – increases the overall color saturation resulting in stronger more intense colors
- Color Boost High – creates intense colors – for that over the top saturated look
- Contrast Boost – deepens shadows and brightens highlights without altering the color tones
- Contrast Boost High – deepens shadows and brightens highlights without altering the color tones and may require use of the layer mask to bring back under or over exposed areas
- Contrast Out – reduces overall image contrast, can be used prior to black and white conversions that increase contrast
- Darken Minus 1/2 – darkens the image similar to 1/2 stop of underexposure
- Darken Minus 1 – darkens the image similar to 1 stop of underexposure
- Darken Minus 2 – darkens the image similar to 2 stops of underexposure
- Darken Shadows – slightly darkens the shadow tones which adds contrast, good for making an flat image look a lot better
- Darken Shadows High – moderately darkens the shadow tones
- Darken with Mask – creates an adjustment layer and a mask that can be used to selectively darken parts of an image
- Dodge & Burn – creates 2 layers – one for lightening and one for darkening
- Green Boost – increases the intensity/color saturation of greens and some yellows in an image, makes trees and grass look much brighter
- Green Out – lowers the hue of greens and yellows, can be great when used with the layer mask to remove green tints on skin or clothing for images shot under trees or near grass
- Green Out High – lowers the hue of greens and yellows significantly
- Haze Away High – removes the fog or haze inherent in most digital images and increases image contrast. This is used by a lot of photographers as a first step in their work flow
- Haze Away Low – removes the fog or haze inherent in most digital images and slightly increases the contrast
- Haze Away & Sharpen – removes the fog inherent in most digital images and adds a moderate amount of sharpening, two for one
- Highlights Back – reduces the intensity of highlights. Great for keeping skin from looking over exposed.
- Highlight Adjuster – allows you to use a Curves adjustment layer to alter the highlight tones, nice for bringing back blown out skin, subtle adjustments work the best
- HMS Adjuster – creates 3 adjustment layers providing the ability to selectively lighten or darken the highlights, midtones or shadows, great for experimenting and improving an image
- Lighten Midtones – lightens the middle tones of an image while leaving highlights and shadows alone
- Lighten Plus 1/2 – lightens the image similar to plus 1/2 stop of exposure
- Lighten Plus 1 – lightens the image similar to plus 1/stop of exposure
- Lighten Plus 2 – lightens the image similar to plus 2 stops of exposure
- Lighten Shadows – lightens shadows and reduces image contrast
- Lighten Skin High – lightens skin tones, works best if skin tones have yellow and red in them
- Lighten Skin Low – slightly lightens skin tones, targets red and yellow skin tones
- Lighten Upper Tones – lightens the high end tones of an image
- Lighten with Mask – creates an adjustment layer and mask to selectively lighten parts of an image
- Magenta Out – removes magenta tones from the image
- Red Out – removes red from the image including skin tones
- Shadow Adjuster – provides a Curves adjustment layer to manipulate the shadow tones while protecting other tones
- Sharpen Low – adds a small amount of sharpening using the High Pass filter, very subtle
- Sharpen Medium – adds a medium amount of sharpening using the High Pass filter, not so subtle, can over emphasize facial problems
- Sharpen High – adds a high amount of sharpening using the High Pass filter which may result in a grainy look
- Sharpen Moderate – a very nice method for sharpening – uses layer blending modes and Unsharp Mask to moderately sharpen
- Yellow Out – removes yellow from the image
- Warm Shadows – adds subtle warm tones to darker tones in image, works especially well when shadows contain cool or blueish tones, can make hair look richer
- Warm Up – warms the image overall similar to having a warming filter on your camera
- Whiten – this action runs in two parts and allows you to remove the yellow cast in teeth and eyes
Each Uber Adjustment action contains a step to create a layer mask and to select the appropriate brush color for masking. If you want to turn off this step go to the bottom of the Uber Adjustments set and turn off the check mark next to the action Black Brush and the action White Brush. You can ignore the warning about not being able to undo this.
